What happens in an introductory call?

Practice guide

A free 15-minute introductory call takes place via WhatsApp video before arranging a first therapy session.

The conversation offers an opportunity to explain what brings you to therapy, hear how Defne works and consider whether working together feels like a good fit.

What we discuss

The call can cover the concerns that led you to get in touch and Defne’s therapeutic approach. Her work is primarily depth-oriented and informed by the Masterson Approach, alongside her background in Schema Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.

Therapy is available in English and Turkish. You can indicate your preferred language and suitable times when requesting the call.

The next step

If you and Defne decide to proceed, a first session can be arranged. Sessions are available online, in person at Healing Hub Amsterdam, or in a hybrid format. They last 45 minutes and take place weekly. The standard fee is €70, paid privately; online sessions are €50 for current bachelor students who provide proof of enrolment.

You can also indicate preferred times for weekly sessions in your enquiry. These preferences help with discussing arrangements; the request itself does not book an appointment.

Requesting the call
